Masaru Kanzaki, headmaster at the Shojitsuken Rikataichi-ryu school, demonstrates Inchuken, a technique for fighting in the dark. Drawing the sword halfway out of the sheath is aimed at disrupting the timing of an opponent as well as allowing the swordsman to cut down the opponent more swiftly by taking advantage of the position of the sword belt.
